Which online degree program(s) do you teach?

  • Which classes do you teach online?

MAN 6289: Org Development & Change
    MAN 6266: Strategic Leadership

  • What do you want your students to learn in these courses? What's the takeaway?

Both courses are eminently practical while also academic. Students should learn about leadership and change in a much more evidence-based manner than it is currently practiced by most managers and leaders.

  • Why did you start teaching?

I spent the first half of my career in industry and fell in love with teaching as an adjunct professor. Too many smart people believe things that are simply wrong. Educating people frees them to find the truth about the world.

  • What advice would you give to your online students?

    Live an evidence-based life.

  • What's the value of an MBA for today's professionals?

The MBA has had critics pop up for decades, but it is still the absolute best education you can receive to work effectively in organizations, no matter your role.

  • How do you see online learning affecting the future of education?

I've been teaching online since at least 1993. Online learning has and will continue to transform education.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

The Bible, which best explains human civilization, followed by “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman, which explains human behavior most comprehensively.

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know:

I have five children and try to practice at home everything I learn about behavior at work.
