Career Highlights:

  • Worked at UNC Asheville for 11 years as Associate Professor of Management and Department Chair
  • Received promotion and tenure in 2009
  • Currently at FGCU, in my sixth year
  • Promoted to Associate Professor in 2018
  • During my career, I have published 19 journal articles in peer-reviewed journals, and have papers presented at over forty academic conferences (all peer-reviewed)

    Students will learn to identify and assess individual leadership skills and capabilities, demonstrate an awareness of different styles and approaches to leadership in diverse situations, demonstrate and apply core philosophies and concepts of the major leadership theorists, and more. An MBA helps today’s professionals extend theoretical concepts, related to various business disciplines, to the practical applications associated with managing, leading, and running any type of organization.

    I love working with students.

  • What advice would you give to your online students?

    In an online course, be very familiar with the professor's communication policy and regularly check updates, announcements and assignments through CANVAS.

  • What's the value of an MBA for today's professionals?

    Extending theoretical concepts, related to various business disciplines, to the practical applications associated with managing, leading and running any type of organization.

  • How do you see online learning affecting the future of education?

    I think this trend will provide greater accessibility to the students and provide multiple forms of media to deliver curricula.
